There is a product called the Moen Secure Mount Anchor that allows the grab bars to be installed on top of drywall or a fiberglass shower stall without installing with screws into 2x4's. The Secure Mount Anchors are for use with Moen grab bars only and increase the cost of installation by $60.00 per grab bar. Weight limit is decreased to 300 pounds from 500 pounds when the grab bars are installed using the Secure Mount Anchoring System.

Ramp shown in picture at top of this page is what we call a 4" Beveled Rubber Ramp

It is 4" high at its highest point and consists of 7 individual pieces that connect together with each piece gradually sloping in 1/2" increments. 

We also carry in our inventory Rampit USA aluminum single-fold ramps commonly referred to as "suitcase ramps."

Cost is per ramp and will only be delivered in conjunction with another service we provide

Ramp configurations and lengths will vary from house to house and therefore costs vary.  By code, you need a minimum 60" (level) turn radius at the entrance (and is also required every place the ramp changes direction (90 degree turn left or right).  This equates to a 5' x 5' platform (minimum) and requires handrails. Code also states that for every inch of rise (from ground to threshold of entry) you need 1' of slope (ramp) for accessibility and safety. Too steep of an incline will be too difficult to roll up and is also a tripping hazard for people walking down it. No section of ramp can be longer than 30' without a 39" x 5' resting platform in the middle or turn to the left or the right. Residential aluminum ramps are 36" wide from side to side with top of the handrails at 36" high. 

The ramp shown in the  picture at the top of this page had a 5'x5' platform at the door, 24' of ramp to a 5'x8' turnback platform and another 24' of ramp to the ground plus a 1' bevel at the end of the ramp

Commercial modular aluminum ramps differ from residential ramps in that commercial ramps are 48" wide with an inner graspable handrail at 42" wide, 36" high and 1.5" in diameter.  We don't carry these ramps in stock.  They are custom built for each job and we therefore require a 50%, non-refundable deposit prior to ordering.  It takes 3-4 weeks for these systems to arrive. They are amazing and the best in the business and worth the wait!
